--Loyalty is trusting two pitchers who have relatively no postseason experience with the team in the biggest game of the series--Loyalty is diving into the stands with no regard for your health for a foul ball, and coming up with a bloody face--Loyalty is re-signing your GM and continuing to trust your manager, instead of running your manager out of town because he made the mistake of leaving a star pitcher in a game a little bit too long--Loyalty is always being behind your team's manager instead of criticizing him during the season and then worshipping him during the playoffs when they're winning--Loyalty is waiting in line on a cold morning to get an autograph from a pitcher who gave up a grand slam in the 7th game of the ALCS Amazing job by the Sox, but thank you again Yankees for providing a lot of great moments during this season. Thanks for the memories and thanks for making me feel like a kid in little league again. And to all the Yankee sell-out fans, we're coming back stronger next year, and we definitely won't need you.
This is only a sport, folks, let's move on to more important things... |
