Another terrorist attack? Sec. Ridge's department is inquiring about the possibility of delaying November elections should a terrorist attack happen. Can you imagine? Another country would be able to directly dictate how our country works. The rest of this year will be very intense. The threat of an attack is already deemed "high," and with the coming of the Republican and Democratic national conventions and Olympic games, this could push us into a fever-pitch. Check out the precautions:

Olympics: Greece is spending $1.2 bil on security alone; 70,000 police and security; 1,400 cameras with scan and zoom capability

Democratic NC, Boston: North Station, which services 25,000 passengers will be closed.; 40 miles of highways, bridges and tunnels shut down, including some of I-93; Logan airport closed and Harbor closed; Menino has told Bostonians to take off from work or else work from home or come in extremely early in the morning; city unions and the Boston police do not want to work during the convention and are threatening to picket.

Republican NC, NYC: "Frozen zone" established around MSG; only one lane open to traffic outside of MSG, probably 7th ave.; more Nat'l Guard and security will be in Penn Station boarding trains and subways with dogs; undersides of trains will be inspected; 6-10,000 NYPD; attendees' hotels will be inspected; to add to it, there are expected to be about 1 mil. protesters and the Dep. Police Commissioner is trying to cordon off the area from them. However, planners are bound to let them be within sight and sound of the arena.

It's been said that things are different since 9/11 and if you didn't believe it before, the next few months should definitely prove it.
